Wolf Howling Survey
To identify Indian wolves by their signature howls, our Wolf Howling Survey was a unique research initiative that helped us take effective conservation steps.
With Dr Bilal Habib (the Wildlife Institute of India), Lauren Hennelly (former Fulbright PhD student, USA), and Saugata Sadhukan (PhD student from WII), we recorded and surveyed the howls of different Indian wolves. The data helped conduct further research into the unique howl signature that can identify each individual wolf — a one of its kind research initiative.
