Wildlife Dens Unblocked!

Den blocking for hunting wildlife like Indian Crested Porcupines is a common practice in our Grasslands. Since 2012 The Grasslands Trust' team has come across many such incidents. In August 2020, we presented a report on such den sites to the Forest Department and the Pune District SPCA. As a collaborative initiative these dens were cleared of stones and other debris, once again making them accessible to the wildlife that were its original occupants, with a hope that they make a comeback!
